In honor of the 54th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s landmark “I Have a Dream” speech, the Progressive Hunterdon Democrats, along with various faith-based, social justice and racial equality leaders from across the state, will read Dr. King’s speech at a candlelight vigil on the steps of the historic Hunterdon County Courthouse. We invite you to join us in celebrating one of the most powerful speeches in American history, and continue to work for equality for all.
We join with our brothers and sisters in movements for justice, and in work towards equality. We stand with people of color, with gay and transgender people, with those in economic struggle, and those working towards a cleaner Earth. We stand with those moving forward. And we will back that with our votes and our labors. As Democrats.
